SHUFFLE UPDATE: July 29, 2019
The SHUFFLE UP’D EIGHT for this week…
I originally started these weekly ‘SHUFFLE UP’d EIGHT’ posts as a way to highlight a few tracks (ok, 8 tracks if you want to get specific) from the weekly reshuffling ‘HI54 WEEKLY SHUFFLE’ playlist (which I update every Sunday with a fresh batch of 54 tracks/artists for anyone not already following on Spotify), but then I started thinking:
What if sometimes the “shuffle up’d 8” got pulled from a different HI54 Spotify playlist? Y’know, as a way to highlight a differently themed HI54 Mix CD, because those playlists also get reshuffled regularly and are filled with tracks that can be found on Bandcamp too?
And since we’re right in the middle of the summer season (at least up here in British Columbia), I figured this would be as a good week as any to highlight some of the nice artists you’ll find in the ongoing HI54 Mix CD ‘HIGH FIVE FOR… SUMMER’ (♫ Spotify / Soundsgood):
And to check-off my self-imposed ‘Every Monday, You Gotta Prepare 8 Bandcamp Embeds for the Hype Machine Bots, Because Hype Machine Doesn’t Grab Spotify Tracks’ rule for this week, I’ve pulled out eight gems from this week’s shuffle update below.

And I guess that’s about that for the SHUFFLE UP’D EIGHT for this week’s shuffle update (and yes, you’re right: “shuffle up’d eight” does sound a lot like “shuffle update”).
Hopefully you’ll find a few new pieces for your personal headphone collection, whether that be from the 8 tracks highlighted above, or from one of the many other excellent tracks/artists featured in the full ‘HI54… SUMMER’ playlist — which gets updated regularly if you fancy following along for future shuffles.
And speaking of future shuffles: I’ve started an ongoing Spotify playlist to keep track of every track that ever gets featured as a “shuffle up’d 8” + I compile monthly Playmoss playlists that feature all the Bandcamp tracks that were featured.
